Makeup By Bianca Umali – A Flawless Look for a Very Happy Bride
Ever since I was a little girl watching my mother put on her eyeshadow, the art of makeup has been a fascinating and mysterious thing to me. As I got older, I was able to experiment with it myself and try my own hand at painting my face, but I’ve never quite gotten the hang of it.
So, what is a girl to do on her wedding day when she barely knows how to put on even mascara? Well, I contacted Ms. Bianca of Makeup By Bianca Umali, and it was a decision that turned out absolutely perfectly!
There are so many makeup and hair artists in Manila that it can be a bit overwhelming looking for the perfect one to trust with your special occasion. Bianca Umali really stood out to me while I was searching because I really like the makeup style that she displays on her Facebook page. She consistently creates a look that is classy, sophisticated, and feminine without looking so drenched in makeup that it almost becomes too fake-looking, which I saw on some other artists’ pages.
For my big day, Bianca came out to the hotel that my husband-to-be and I were staying at, bringing along all of her magical makeup and hair equipment. She charges Php1400 for full hair and makeup, plus an additional Php200 for transportation costs within Quezon City if you ask her to come to you instead of going to her office.

I don’t tend to wear makeup on a daily basis, so Bianca had to explain what all of her products were to me, which she cheerfully did. She has a very sweet and comfortable demeanor that put me at ease right away as she got started on the makeover for this bride-to-be.

Bianca got started by applying moisturizer to my face, followed by foundation and primers to keep the look in place all day long. She skillfully used her many kinds of brushes to blend everything together as she worked on the canvas that was my face. By the way, Bianca uses genuine top-brand products, such as Clinique, NYX, Maybelline, and more, so you don’t have to worry about cheap products having negative effects on your skin.

After applying the foundation and primers, she moved on to my eyes. I’d previously sent her images of the makeup look I hoped to achieve for my wedding day for her reference, and she did an amazing job of matching my desired look.

Next, she moved on to my lips. I’d asked her to not use too bold of a color as I was already wearing a red dress instead of the typical bridal gown for the wedding ceremony, and I thought it might be too much if I wore bright lipstick, too. She happily obliged to my request, and the shade she applied was a perfect match.
