The Lost Nomad focuses on products that best suit the modern-day traveler. They wrote, “Our products take form by incorporating the culture we’ve grown up in and the cultures we’ve been exposed to on our travels to develop a brand built on quality and a desire to be inspired.”

The Lost Nomad has a good variety of designs. Like the blue bag made of jute fabric, they have items that look rugged and fit for the outdoors. It’s spacious enough for your camping and touring needs. The color of the bag is vibrant, and the overall look is reminiscent of the solace nature could offer.

As much as many of us would want to spend more time backpacking around the world, a huge chunk of our time is devoted to school and work. If you’re looking for a bag that suits your corporate attire, The Lost Nomad also offers chic and classy leather goods that suit nomads lost in the urban jungle. The best part is you could opt to have these leather goods customized by embossing your initials on them.

Rocca Wallets Local Brands 1_Edited

“Handcrafted wallets made from stone.” Rocca Wallet’s tagline made me curious, so I talked to Nico Ng, the man behind the local start-up that is now making waves both here and abroad.

“Rock papers have a smooth and soft feel, and it is only a little more dense than regular paper,” he explained. Even though rock papers are already being manufactured by others, the products of Rocca Wallets had to go through a meticulous process of using the material to make the products more durable. Initially, he started working on the handrawn patterns without any end product in mind. Eventually, he identified his need for a wallet and decided to merge aesthetics and functionality into what is now Rocca Wallets.

We’re giving away the green wallet here. The mechanics are simple, and the giveaway is really easy to join!

Obrano‘s first design is a minimalist wallet that mixes leather and weave. It is one of the projects under The Spark Project, one of the first crowdfunding platforms in the Philippines. The Spark Project has raised over 2.3 million pesos for 21 projects to date.

Obrano is looking for its first wave of supporters to get them through to the next stage and to actualize their business plans and their big ideas for their products. If you believe in the project, you could vote for them here. They need  at least 50 email addresses to get to the next stage. The rationale behind this is to validate whether their crowdfunding campaigns spark interest from potential backers. The last day of voting is one June 10.

Apart from Obrano, there are many other projects that you might find to be deserving of your votes.  Visit launch.thesparkproject.com to view awesome ideas under these categories: arts, music and film, travel and culture, social projects, product design, science and technology, food and beverage, and books and publishing. Select and support the ideas you like by providing your name and your e-mail address.
