Who knew that dusty, retired tents and kayaks could be transformed into vibrant, stylish designer bags? To celebrate nine years of commitment to sustainability, Decathlon has teamed up with up-and-coming designer Reese Collins Latonio to give old outdoor gear a second life as an exclusive, upcycled bag collection.

Inspired by scout sashes and merit badges, designer Reese Collins Latonio transforms deadstock materials into a customizable crossbody scout bag. Every pocket honors a core Decathlon value intricately reimagined through Collins’ creative lens to give forgotten gear a meaningful second life.
The intimate upcycling workshop brought together a diverse group of long-time Decathlon loyalists, ranging from artists and lifestyle content creators to professional athletes, triathletes, and sports journalists.
JP Oracion, Decathlon’s Sustainability Leader, shared the brand’s commitment to sustainability: “At Decathlon, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword or a strategy, it is embedded in our DNA. We think long-term about both people and the planet, ensuring that every daily decision works to maximize our positive social impact while minimizing our environmental footprint.”
