Imagine this. You’re on a long-haul flight to glamorous New York City and you suddenly get a craving for some good, juicy, scrumptious steak. But because you’re literally in the air, with probably 14 hours more ahead of you, you can’t.
Well, we’re here to tell you that tragic scenario is now a thing of the past. Now, you can go all Crazy Rich Asians you want and order a USDA prime dry-aged rib-eye steak while passing time in the plane. And not just any steak—we mean one of New York’s best, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse.
On October 29, 2018, Philippine Airlines will be launching their direct flight from Manila to the Big Apple, and we are up in the air with this exciting news (get it?). If that’s not enough, business class passengers of the inaugural flight this 29th will also be dining dishes served by Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, a highly acclaimed restaurant that started in Manhattan and is ranked as one of the best steakhouses in New York.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse only serves graded USDA Prime Black Angus Beef in all their branches around the world, which is a rating of beef that only 2% of all US markets have ever attained. Their dry-aging process includes storing the beef in its own specially designed drying room under controlled temperature for 28 days; enough time for the beef to be more tender and have its moisture removed, which in turn will increase the concentration of its natural beef flavor and taste.
Other than their steaks, Sirloin Steak and Petite Fillet Mignon, menu items that will be served in the PAL flight include Beverly Hills Chopped Salad (chopped fresh vegetables tossed in house dressing and sprinkled with feta cheese), Grilled Salmon, and Burger Sliders that would be a perfect meal for the kids.

And of course, to top of a guaranteed deliciously hefty meal, they would also be serving Key Lime Pie and New York-Style Cheesecake to complete all your cravings while in the air.

Other than the inaugural flight, business class passengers can also expect Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s menu offerings in the direct to New York flights for the months of March, July, and November 2019. So if you’re planning ahead for your trip abroad, make sure not to miss this chance to give yourself a gastronomical treat along your way to the concrete jungle.
But if you’re not planning to go out of town anytime soon, you can still visit Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in its locations in Manila—Newport Mall, The Podium, and their soon-to-open location in Bonifacio Global City.
