LOOK: This Hidden Cafe in Tagaytay Is a Wonderland for Plant Lovers

Staying at home for a long time has given a lot of people (including us!) the opportunity to enjoy plants at home. In the last few years, we’ve seen the emergence of plant parents, plantitas, and plantitos. Physical shops and online stores thrived with just catalogs of plants and plant care accessories. From the success of these plant-centric businesses, a plant-themed cafe has also emerged.

There is a hidden cafe in Tagaytay that’s also a perfect wonderland for plant lovers.

Greenhouse Cafe Tagaytay is a showroom for rare plants and it doubles as an Instagrammable cafe. The whole cafe is filled with beautiful plants and gives off a relaxing tropical forest vibe.

It will definitely catch your attention at once because of the many plants displayed even right outside their door. As soon as you enter, you’ll be greeted by massive leaves, huge hanging plants from the ceiling, and a whole lot of green!

Every detail about the cafe is supposed to let you feel at one with nature. That’s why even the floors were designed to have gravel to make you experience that “crunch” with every step. It’s also specifically designed so that you can touch the plants at any time. There are even bird noises playing in the background!

It’s all about a sensory experience with nature as you enjoy their great food and drinks.

Established by event stylist JC Marasigan in 2020, Greenhouse Cafe started only as a showroom for the plants he sold online. Because he sells a lot of rare plants, his customers would really visit the space to look at the plants.

Marasigan shares with WhenInManila.com that people suggested that he start serving coffee and pastries. He also revealed that the cafe truly started with him offering instant coffee and pandesal to his customers.

After a few months, the showroom slowly became the cafe it is now, along with a wide menu of comfort food, refreshing drinks, and great coffee.

Marasigan and his team also directed a lot of effort onto their menu. The food is absolutely delicious, and it’s definitely one more reason for you to visit.

Many of their dishes are made from scratch, such as their soups and their sauces.

To tell you simply, all of their dishes are must-tries. We couldn’t believe how tasty and savory everything is! They even have a grilled cheese sandwich that’s easily the best we’ve ever tasted.

If you’re looking for a hearty meal, they also offer USDA Angus beef tapsilog at such an affordable price! Yes, it’s legit USDA Angus beef and it’s so tender and flavorful.

Their desserts, especially the mango cheesecake, are worth the visit as well.

We love how their menu is much more affordable and a lot more scrumptious than your usual Instagrammable cafes. Plus, the relaxing experience gives you even more value for your money.

They’re also very pet-friendly! Marasigan shares that they welcome all kinds of pets to the cafe. “No matter how big your dog is, it’s no problem for us,” he says.

Greenhouse Cafe is a refreshing hidden gem in Tagaytay that will make your trip down south a lot more relaxing.
