The Philippines is an agricultural country. We have an abundance of crops that we enjoy like rice, corn, and coconut. But there’s one thing people keep on forgetting that we have to thank farmers for–chocolates!
One Filipino cocoa farmer named Jose Saguban made it to the prestigious International Cocoa Awards (ICA). He will be joining the top 50 cocoa producers in the world at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, France from October 30 to November 3, 2019.
The International Cocoa Awards showcases different chocolate producers from around the world. They aim to celebrate quality chocolate and the importance of cocoa farmers.
Jose Saguban has been farming cocoa for a long time. His achievement can also mean a boost to the cocoa industry of the Philippines. Way to go, Jose!
