LOOK: This Coffee Shop Closes All their Branches amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Even the branches in Visayas and Mindanao are closed!

It’s a sad day for coffee lovers as the famous Seattle-based chain Starbucks closes all their branches for the safety and well-being of their employees.

And we understand. It’s a tough time, and the COVID-19 pandemic is no joke. But while it does make our hearts (and stomachs heavy), Starbucks Philippines announced on March 23 that it will be closing their stores for an indefinite time. All of them— even the ones down at Visayas and Mindanao.

“The health and well-being of our partners and customers remains top of mind and our highest priority,” Starbucks said in their latest Instagram post. “As such, all Starbucks stores in the Philippines will be temporarily closed.

And FYI, partners refers to the employees of Starbucks.

About a week ago, Starbucks announced the closing of all Luzon branches due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine. This meant that most establishments— aside from those like groceries, and drug stores, among others— to prevent the disease from spreading.
