Four teams representing the Philippines flew to Orlando, Florida to compete at the International Cheer Union Worlds 2017, which is known to be the “Olympics of Cheerleading”.
Saint Pedro Poveda College dance team Enciende represented the Philippines under the Cheer Hiphop category, where they had a second runner-up finish.
After the ICU Worlds, the same team participated at the US Open World Championships or also known as the Dance Worlds, and were proclaimed champions.
In a video uploaded by the official Facebook page of Team Pilipinas Cheerleading, it showed the announcement of winners where confetti was showered upon announcing “Team Philippines”.

Actress Sylvia Sanchez also took to her Instagram how proud she is of the team, where her daughter Gela is also a part of.
