The wait has been long for the new Darna film, but director Jerrold Tarog shared the good news on his Instagram that filming has finally started!

“Day 1,” he wrote on the caption, indicating that it was the first day of filming the remake.
It was back in July 2019 when, after months of searching for a replacement for Liza Soberano who withdrew from the project due to a finger injury, ABS-CBN Network revealed the new Darna to be Jane De Leon.
Since then, Jane has been working hard to train every day in preparation for the role. Though a lot of people are doubting her acting skills, she only had this to say in her interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda: “Watch out!”
