It looks like Rico Blanco is well on his way to achieving his “ultimate dream” of opening up his own business in beloved surftown La Union, which he only just revealed in an instagram post.
“Let’s go!” Rico exclaimed in the caption of his photo album, which included pictures of himself inside his almost-completely built project: a marketplace called Port San Juan where people can set up shop for locals and tourists to purchase their products and services.

“[I] can’t believe I’m now just counting the weeks (days??) til my ultimate dream project in Surftown LU @portsanjuan finally opens its doors to the community,” Rico wrote. “My partners and I have worked on this for a few years now so I’m absolutely thrilled to see our market level looking all set to welcome tenants, partners, friends and guests VERY SOON!”
Based on the photos she shared, Port San Juan looks like it’s going to be a multilevel commercial complex surrounded by nature. He’s yet to confirm if it will feature other amenities. However, it seems that it’s only a matter of time when Port San Juan will be opening its doors.
“Matagal ko pinangarap to kaya pagbigyan nyo na kung biglaang nag photo shoot nalang ako dito para hindi maiyak (This has been my dream for so long so excuse me for having an impromptu photoshoot so that I don’t tear up),” he said, ending his post.
It was back in 2019 when Rico revealed his dream of settling down in La Union where he can continue making more music.
