For those who visited Duty Free Fiestamall on Mother’s Day, they got a special treat as Maine Mendoza arrived to surprise guests with some antics up her sleeve!
Maine Mendoza joined Duty Free to celebrate their 30th anniversary with her well-known kwela pakulo. She started the day by positioning herself in the registration area, welcoming visitors and balikbayans as they walked in the mall. Maine continued her surprise streak as she disguised herself as a shopper, only for other shoppers to find out that they’re walking next to the Dubsmash sensation herself. Lucky for these shoppers, their Duty Free shopping experience will never be the same!
Over the 30 years’ worth of service delivered by Duty Free to our balikbayans, it has never failed to fulfill its purpose of bringing happiness to shoppers through its much-loved items and convenience. Moreover, the joy or saya cultivated by Duty Free comes from the fulfillment of shopping pasalubong together as a family, and making sure each and every family member feels happy with the purchase. This makes a balikbayan feel happy as well, because he or she sees a friend or a family member happy with the pasalubong– the big idea behind the tagline: “Ang Saya Magpsasaya.”
Having Maine be part of the Duty Free anniversary was perfect because it fits the overall theme or tagline of the celebration. Just like how balikbayans would want their family members to be in high spirits, Maine, through her surprises, delivered what the tagline is all about, which is the joy of making other people happy.

As the years progress, Duty Free is committed to making pasalubong shopping more exciting. In the near future, there will be a flagship store in the Mall of Asia Complex, selling luxury items from high-end brands.
There will also be expansions inside NAIA Terminal 3. Rest assured, Duty Free will only make steps to bring their brand closer to their customers, considering that there are plans of offering Duty Free shopping online as well.
