LOOK: Kris Aquino remembers dad Ninoy Aquino on his death anniversary

Kris Aquino remembered her dad, Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino on his 36th death anniversary.

She did this through a series of posts on Instagram.

The first photo she shared was “taken a couple of months before our father was assassinated.”

The caption goes:

Taken a couple of months before our father was assassinated… bakit ate & me lang? because at that time, camera shy talaga si pinky, noy, and viel… in loving remembrance of the 1st man who gave me the courage & the wings to BELIEVE in my dreams, together with all my love for the woman who instilled in me, the backbone to make sure my childhood wishes became REALITY.

Dad knew how to make people feel special & important. Mom knew how to make us feel protected & encouraged us to be the best versions of ourselves… God blessed me way more than i deserved with the parents who gave me life, and the sons na ngayon naman, ako na ang nagpapalaki… ??? Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr.

Then, she shared a photo of her as a baby while her dad was carrying her.

She said:

My dad was killed when he was only 50 years old… my mom saw my 1st commercial, 1st tv show, and the 1st movie- all those “FIRSTS” that the man carrying me here ALWAYS said would one day happen.
Ang mom pagsasabihan pa sya, “dad, don’t get her hopes up.” But HE would whisper to me “beautiful, you’ll be on tv and starring in movies, and signing autographs…” Sharing this because if you’re a parent, or planning at some point to be one, PLEASE encourage the dreams of your children and equip them with the discipline and skills to SHINE in what they love doing… siguro po kaya hindi ako sumusuko sa LABAN ng buhay kasi number 1 lesson ng dad: kung choice mo ang public life, whether in politics or entertainment, bawal ang pikon. 2nd rule: life should be lived guided by the principle of addition and never subtraction… dad, i am infinitely proud that i’m yours and mom’s, BABY. ???

The third photo was after her dad’s surgery.

She said:

My dad had torn his Achilles heel & had needed surgery before this, our 1st winter picture was taken… this was also within the same year he had his triple heart bypass surgery, can you find me? sumisiksik in between Ninoy and Cory.
