LOOK: Drones light up night sky to thank frontliners and spread awareness on COVID-19

Around 300 drones were utilized by the South Korean government to thank frontline healthcare workers for their efforts as well as to remind the public about basic COVID-19 prevention.

Last Saturday night, a surprise drone show took place above the Han river which runs through Seoul. It started by giving some reminders of precautionary measures against COVID-19, such as wearing masks and frequent hand-washing.

The show also dedicated messages of gratitude to the country’s frontliners and the public for all doing their part to end the pandemic. Drones assembled in the sky to form the phrase “THANKS TO YOU” next to a heart, signifying appreciation.
