We Found Some Cool Summer Workshops for Kids: Arts, KPop Dance, Parkour, and More!

For kids, summer is all about endless play times and vacations with the family. But you know what else summer is perfect for? Fun workshops! A lot of kids engage in summer workshops to learn new skills or develop their existing passions and talents. Plus, they also get to meet new friends, too!

Summer workshops can be quite costly, though, but we’ve found these very affordable workshops at Lucky Chinatown this summer your kids can attend. Children can get to choose too from Arts and Craft Workshops, Performing Arts Workshops, and Kiddie Combat Workshops—it all depends on what they find interesting!

Arts and Craft

Arts and Crafts Workshop with Crayola

Unleash your kids’ creativity by joining this arts and craft workshop! Participate in fun coloring activities and create wonderful works of art with this workshop featuring Crayola products. Think Art Attack—that’s how fun this class will be!

When: April 16 – 22

Crayola Arts Classes

This advanced coloring class is for the older ones and for those kiddies who want to step up their coloring skills. This class will be conducted with the Masters of the Likhang Bata Creativity Center, so you’ll be sure to take home a lot of new knowledge!

When: April 20 – 21

Caricature Sketching

If you’ve always seen the artist potential in your kid, this is your chance to hone it. This doodling class with Caricature Inc. will help guide those little hands to become the artists they someday dream to be.

When: April 21 – 22, divided into two sessions: 11 AM-12PM and 2 PM to 4 PM

Performing Arts

Chinese Drumbeating Workshop

If your kid has the penchant for drums, the traditional Chinese ones most especially, then this is the workshop for them. Imagine how cool your kid would be learning this awesome craft with the Philippine Ling Nam Athletic Federation! There is a limit of 20 slots per session, so be sure to sign up asap!

When: May 3 – 4, at 10 AM to 12 PM and at 2 PM to 4 PM

KPop Dance

Is your child showing any star potential? Or is she/he really just a big, big fan of K-Pop? If so, there’s no other workshop more perfect for your child than this KPop Dance Workshop, conducted by premier dance company G-Force, no less!

When: May 4th, 2 PM – 5 PM

Kiddie Combat

Parkour Workshop

For the more athletic kiddos, this workshop with Ninja Academy PH will teach your kids parkour moves and tricks that’ll be a super fun way to beat boredom. Plus, think of how cool it is to learn basic parkour moves at such a young age. This class is limited to 20 kids per session though, so you better hurry!

When: May 17 – 18, 11 AM and 2 PM

Palarong Pinoy Sports

Let’s keep traditional Filipino street games alive! This workshop, to be conducted by Magna Kultura, will teach kids how to play the well-loved classic Pinoy games like luksong lubid, piko, luksong tinik, and patintero.

When: May 20, 11 AM

Megaworld Lucky Chinatown Kiddie Summer Workshop (1)

To join these workshops, simply present a single receipt purchase of 1,000 pesos from any Lucky Chinatown establishment at the mall’s concierge to register. Only 1 receipt is valid per workshop! The first 150 kids to register will get to take home a fun summer bag that contains one t-shirt, one ID and ID lace, and one workshop passport. Kids also get to take home a workshop graduation certificate when they attend and finish all the classes under one category (Arts and Craft, Performing Arts, and Kiddie Combat).
