LOOK: Artist Creates Van Gogh-Inspired Painting of Manila City Hall

On July 30, Mayor Isko Moreno posted a set of pictures of a painting on his official social media account.

The painting, which depicts Manila’s city hall, follows the style of Vincent Van Gogh.

In fact, it was inspired by the late artist’s Starry Night.

At the foreground is the familiar clock tower of the city hall while the background was filled with whirling clouds in the same post-impressionist style.

The painting was made by Ralph Rivera Pangilinan.

“Dahil po sa kalinisan na dulot ng sipag at tiyaga ng ating city hall employees, naisipan niya pong mag-painting sa ating mas pinagandang Kartilya ng Katipunan last July 28, mula 11:00 am hanggang 5:00 pm haha galing!!!” the mayor said in a caption.
