The much-loved American casual dining steak restaurant chain, LongHorn Steakhouse, is now open in Manila!
Cementing its place in Shangri-La Plaza’s vibrant new Streetscape, LongHorn Steakhouse, courtesy of The Bistro Group, promises to give Filipino diners a taste of the American West. Staying true to its slogan “You can’t fake steak,” the restaurant offers a menu consisting of high-quality beef, ribs, chops, chicken, seafood, and more.

For certified carnivores, LongHorn Steakhouse’s “legendary” steak offerings are a must-try: the bone-in Outlaw Ribeye, Flo’s Filet, New York Strip, and Fire-Grilled T-Bone. During my visit, I got to indulge in the 12oz Ribeye and found it to be juicy and tender, though I would have much preferred it to have a crispier crust.
Beyond its steaks, LongHorn shines with its other delectable dishes, including the appetizers and sides. My personal favorites are the Texas Tonion (crispy battered onion petals), Fire-Grilled Corn on the Cob (love the housemade crema and parmesan cheese on top!), and the Loaded Baked Potato. For non-steak mains, I recommend the fall-off-the-bone Baby Back Ribs, Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Bourbon-marinated Grilled Salmon, and Hand-breaded Chicken Tenders.
Elevate your dining experience even further by pairing these meals with LongHorn Steakhouse’s selection of cocktails, margaritas, wine, or draft beer from the bar.
Of course, there should always be room for dessert! While I only got to try the Molten Lava Cake, the famous Chocolate Stampede cake—with six different kinds of chocolate and topped with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream—is already calling out to me to plan my next visit.
