ย When In Manila, having a mobile phone anytime and anywhere is a must now, as it does not only help us connect with our friends and loved ones, but it also helps us fulfill our ever-growing list of needs especially for our social lives. Smartphones have been popping out of every corner for the past seven to eight years, and the features have been improving since. Dubbed as the “Best Smartphone in the world” by Stuff.tv and similarly voted as “the best smartphone out there now” in a PhoneArena.com poll, the LG G2 has emerged from the tight pack to show us how it has learned from our growing list of needs and wants.
September 25, 2013 was declared #LGG2DayPH as the “best smartphone in the world” (currently) finally arrived in the Philippines at the Solaire Resort and Casino. It is the latest premium flagship smartphone of LG Mobile, being a descendant of the “Optimus G”, without the word “Optimus”. It was said that “Optimus” was omitted to showcase LG G2’s human-inspired features. Friends from the dealers and the media were present during the #LG G2 Day PH. A sumptuous menu was also served to the guests throughout the night (it was my first time to eat the Lamb Chop meat and Asparagus covered with bacon, and they were oh so good).
ย
The launch was hosted by the beautiful Ms. Ginger Conejero and was succeeded by speeches from known industry personalities. Mr. Dante Lantin, the Assistant Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC), shared some stories that related how the LG G2 furthers the goal of DOTC, which is to improve connection and info distribution among the Filipinos. After Mr. Lantin’s speech was the very nice Steve Jobs-like presentation by Ms. Faith Mijares, LG Philippines’ Mobile Product Manager, of the stunning and jaw-dropping features (to be discussed in the next page) of the “best smartphone in the world out there”.
