During the Manila press conference of the show’s lead actress, Lee Sung Kyung, the Korean drama star was asked about the possibility of having a season two.

Lee Sung Kyung said through a translator, “[I] heard that the Philippine fans really love Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, so thank you very much.” She also added that, “she has to discuss with the director and writer of Kim Bok Joo if a season two is possible.”
Lee Sung Kyung was recently in the Philippines for the Manila leg of her fan meeting titled “BE JOYFUL” last July 27. Her press conference was held last July 26.
