‘The Last Dance’ is Currently Top 1 in the Philippines on Netflix

If you’re a Netflix addict, then you’ve probably been checking out the ‘Top 10 in the Philippines Today’ on a regular basis to get some ideas on what to watch next or to see what fellow Filipinos have been streaming on the app. This feature shows us what is most popular in the country and is updated everyday.

For the past few weeks, that Top List has been filled with Korean dramas (as filmmaker Erik Matti pointed out last week) and occasional shows like ‘Money Heist’ and ‘Prison Break’.

Today, however, there is one show that has really made a mark on our basketball-loving country: ‘The Last Dance’. In fact, it has made such a huge mark that it is currently holding the Top 1 spot on the Top 10 list in the country.

Last Dance

‘The Last Dance’ is a sports documentary miniseries focusing on the 1997–98 Chicago Bulls. ESPN and Netflix debuted the first two episodes on April 20, featuring shots from a crew that had an all-access pass to the Bulls during the National Basketball Association season. The docuseries chronicles the Bull’s run for what would become their final championship season.

The premiere was moved up to April from June due to the lack of sports happening around the world because of COVID-19, and the Philippines is clearly loving it!
