Lechon is one of the things that has become imbued deeply into Filipino culture—no big celebration would be complete without it. It is a way of showing to the guests that you value their presence. And for the past decades, the word lechon has become synonymous with the restaurant Lydia’s Lechon. They’ve been making excellent juicy lechon with the crispy crust since their humble beginnings in 1965.

Lydia de Roca handed the awards to her employees, to whom she was very grateful for their efforts throughout the years. She considers her employees a part of her family. It is worth noting that many of her employees have been with Lydia’s Lechon for at least 10 years. The oldest had been with them from the beginning, and that’s counting 50 years!
