Label Skatepark: First Indoor Skatepark in Southern Metro Manila Opens

The Philippines’ first indoor multi-discipline skatepark, Label Skatepark, has officially opened its doors at SM Southmall’s Game Park. The launch happened on July 12, 2024, marking a collaborative effort between SM Southmall and LABEL SHOES PH.

This indoor haven for skaters provides a place to hone their skills and shred regardless of the weather. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or just picking up a board, Label Skatepark offers a welcoming environment for all skill levels.

“It’s for everyone,” told the press during the launch. “Basically, [Label Skatepark] is part of our grassroots program here at our Game Park facilities because we really want to be part of the whole sports development landscape,” he expounded.

“SM Game Park has a lot of other attractions. We have bowling, we have archery, we have table tennis… and part of our goal also is to really spread that active lifestyle in our mallgoers and the community.”

Label Shoes PH is one of the Filipino brands making waves today as the first Philippine-made skateboarding shoe brand. Their shoes are claimed to be meticulously handcrafted to maximize board feel and offer increased flexibility, all without compromising on protection.

Additionally, their signature “indestructible suede” is a testament to their commitment to long-lasting footwear built for the demands of skateboarding. Under Quilla Corporation, Label Shoes PH was founded by skater Nice Quilantang in 2016 and officially launched in 2018.

“From a kid who is passionate about skateboarding to representing the country, building a company catering action sports and now partnering with the biggest business entity in the country, securing the roof of action sports in the country for decades to come and inaugurating SM as the house of action sports for the Filipino people,” Quilantang expressed in awe.

“Let’s skate into the future together, for those who move!”
