In an exclusive interview on 24 Oras, Kylie admitted that she was “heartbroken” every time she saw that the Sang’gres are incomplete, along with a sense of regret over what her career could have been.
“Sobrang pinaghirapan ko para lang magustuhan ‘yung Amihan ko na version. And then at the height, I got pregnant. It was unexpected and I really didn’t know how to handle it,” she said, adding that there was a feeling of regret and she wanted to make it up to her sisters—her “Encantadia” co-stars Glaiza de Castro, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez.
“Dream kong mapanood kami ulit na kumpleto kami ng hindi patay si Amihan, pambawi lang sa mga kapatid ko (It’s my dream to see us complete on screen again, with Amihan still alive, just to make it up to my sisters)… It’s really painful to see them incomplete just because of me.”
The 32-year-old actress revealed that she hasn’t had the chance to talk to Glaiza, Gabbi, and Sanya about the loss of her character, Amihan, which was brought about by her pregnancy.

“Never namin napag-usapan ‘yun (We never talked about that), how they felt after I left. Syempre, may fear ako na baka may (Of course, I have this fear that there might be some) disappointment.”
She also shared her battle with depression as a single mother of two kids.
“It’s hard to have depression while raising two kids. Kasi minsan, inaatake ako, and nandyan sila, may kailangan sila, so kailangan kong isantabi ‘yung nararamdaman ko (Because sometimes, I get an episode, and they’re there, they need something, so I have to set aside what I’m feeling),” she admitted.
“And I don’t have a partner to help me. So iiyak mo na lang, wala kang ibang sagot eh… Then, kapag okay ka na, isang hinga lang (So you just cry it out, because you don’t have any other answer… Then when you’re okay, you take one deep breath): ‘Yes, nak, what do you need?’ It’s my reality,” she added.
Despite the struggles she is enduring, she is also thankful for the care and empathy her children show. She also talked about shifting her perspective and being more hopeful.
“I’m trying to forgive and forget everything… Gusto ko lang palitan ‘yung narrative ko, I’m hopeful to have a healthier, happier marriage, and someone who can complete my little family and take care of us and love them as much as I love them,” she said.
Things are looking up for the actress! Kylie is set to headline the upcoming drama series “My Father’s Wife” alongside Gabby Concepcion, Jak Roberto, and Kazel Kinouchi. The show premieres on June 23.
