Davao’s favorite creperie just got a serious upgrade, and not just in looks. Koop Creperie and Cafe has opened a brand-new branch in Juna Subdivision, and it’s giving the south more of what we already love: more space, better lighting, and a menu that’s bigger, bolder, and full of things you’ll want to try.

From Cozy to Spacious: A Major Upgrade from Obrero
Let’s be real: the Obrero branch will always have heart, but space was never its strong suit. The new Loreto Street location changes that. There’s room to breathe, stay awhile, and enjoy your food without playing musical chairs. Whether you’re grabbing coffee solo or catching up with friends, this branch just makes it easier to settle in.
A Visual Rebrand That’s Subtle but Smart

Even the logo got a glow-up. At first glance, it looks like a pastry. Tilt your head and you’ll catch it: Koop, hidden in plain sight. It’s a small but clever detail that reflects the vibe of the new space: clean, warm, and well thought-out.
Inside, the natural light hits just right. It bounces off white walls and soft wood tones, making the space feel fresh and open. But the real show-stealer? The open kitchen. Watching your crepe being made, batter swirling, and fillings layered in will never get old. Also: very satisfying content if you’re the type to film your food (like me!).
Menu Glow-Up: From Dessert Darling to Full-On Comfort Food
If you still think Koop is just for crepes and coffee, it’s time to go back and check out their savory items. The new rice bowls are quietly becoming the main event, especially the soon-to-launch Steak Rice. Tender slices of beef over warm garlic rice, topped with golden fried garlic. It’s rich and indulgent but still feels like comfort food.

Here are other dishes to check out:
-
Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl – sweet, savory, and solid
-
Soon-to-launch Aglio Olio – garlicky, light, with a little kick– exactly what you want on a chill day
Of course, they didn’t forget the crepes. The new flavors are proof they’re not afraid to play:
-
Banana Pudding – soft, creamy, nostalgic
-
Chocolate Pistachio – their spin on the viral Dubai-style dessert
-
Mango Sticky Rice – chewy, tangy, unexpectedly good
Koop 2.0
This isn’t a reinvention, it’s a thoughtful evolution. Koop is still that same creperie people fell in love with, just with more elbow room, a refined vibe, and a menu that proves they’re not afraid to grow. Have you dropped by already?
