Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron sparked dating rumors after the latter posted an affectionate photo of them on her Instagram Story at midnight on March 24. Shortly after, she took down the post, which fueled the dating rumors.

Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, released a statement addressing the issue. They shut down dating rumors, clarifying that the photo was taken in the past when the two were both under the same agency.
“We are informing you that Kim Soo Hyun’s dating rumors are not currently true. The photo that has been spread online appears to have been taken in the past, when [Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron] were under the same agency, and we are completely unable to understand the motivation behind Kim Sae Ron’s action [of posting the photo].”
Gold Medalist also emphasized that they will take “strong legal action” to malicious slander and insulting photos defaming Soo-hyun, “Due to the photo in question, unnecessary misunderstandings and groundless speculation about our actor are currently running rampant, and we will be taking strong legal action through our legal representative in response to malicious slander and insulting posts that defame our actor’s character or honor.”

“We ask that you refrain from writing rumors or groundless speculation regarding this matter,” the agency concluded.
Soo-hyun and Sae-ron were both under Gold Medalist until 2022. The actress left the agency and has been inactive due to her Driving Under the Influence (DUI) case. She previously appeared in “A Brand New Life,” “Secret Healer,” and “Hi! School-Love On.”
Meanwhile, Soo-hyun is known for his roles in “My Love From the Star,” “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” and “The Producers.” He currently stars in “Queen of Tears” alongside Kim Ji-won.
