Joshua Garcia has broken his silence amid dating rumors with French-Filipino athlete Emilienne Vigier at the mediacon for his upcoming romantic comedy film “Fruitcake.”
The 25-year-old actor opened up about what’s really going on between him and his rumored beau to members of the press, clarifying that he isn’t denying the relationship.
“About that, okay, para ma-klaro na lahat and wala na ring maitanong ang lahat, baka sabihin kasi nila, dine-deny ko ‘yung babae, ‘diba,” he began. “Hindi ko siya dine-deny. It’s just that ako and her decided not to share it to everyone kasi ‘yung relationship na ‘yan, eh kami lang naman ‘yung parte du’n.”
He then explained that being public with his love life has negatively affected his past relationships and doesn’t want it to happen again this time.
“Galing na kasi ako sa iba’t ibang klase ng relationships and everytime na sine-share ko siya sa lahat, parang nagkakagulo, nagiging shaky ‘yung relationship eh,” he added. “Hangga’t maaari kasi, sa panahon ngayon, mas okay kung private na ka rin na tao.”
When asked how long he has been in love, Joshua answered: “In love ako every day.”
To conclude, he reiterated that he wants to protect the privacy of his love life. “Like I said, wala akong sasabihing kahit ano and that’s me and her decision. Para peaceful lang din.”
“What you see is what you get talaga, ‘di ba?” he continued. “Lalo ngayon, lahat, nasa social media na. Kung ano ‘yung nakikita nila, ‘yun na ‘yun. Hindi mo na kailangang i-elaborate pa ang mga nangyayari.”
Joshua Garcia’s last known relationship was with his former love team partner Julia Barretto. He also was briefly rumored to have dated content creator Bella Racelis.
Joshua and Emilienne were first linked a few months back when their personal Instagram Story posts suggested that they were at the same place at the same time. They were later spotted a few times together outdoors. In the first week of September, Emilienne shared a selfie with Joshua on her Instagram story and wrote “Jtmmmm” which many netizens speculated meant “je t’aime,” which translates to “I love you” in French. The following week, their multiple Instagram pictures on their individual feeds suggested that they had taken a trip to Italy together.
