Jona Soquite Is The First “The Voice Teens” Champion!

The Voice Teens has its first ever grand champion!

13-year-old Jona Soquite became the first winner of the teen version of the popular singing competition on Sunday night.

Jona, who sang R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly”, belonged to coach Sarah Geronimo’s team and got 44.78 percent of total viewers’ votes, which were cast through text and various online websites.

In second place was Team Bamboo’s Isabella Vinzon from Pampanga, at 22.42 percent. Meanwhile, Team Lea’s Mica Becerro of Surigao del Sur placed third at 17.79 percent, while Team Sharon’s Jeremy Glinoga of Lipa City was at fourth at 15.01 percent.

As The Voice Teens’ first grand champion, Jona will receive a cash prize of P1 million, a recording contract, and a business package.
