Joel’s Place: This Aesthetic Food Market Is a Grocery and Restaurant Hybrid

Your next grocery shopping day might just become your favorite day of the week, and it’s bound to be more exciting than ever—if you shop at Joel’s Place, that is.

Joel’s Place has been called a “grocerant” because of its hybrid design—it is both a grocery and a restaurant! So, aside from being able to shop for your daily essentials, you can also grab a bite to eat and then some.

They say you shouldn’t go grocery shopping when you’re hungry. Well, Joel’s Place makes sure of that.

This hybrid food market sits among Rockwell’s The Proscenium Retail Row restaurants. You’d also probably think it’s just your usual cafe or restaurant, especially with the many dining tables lined up outside the store. But with one step inside, it’s easy to realize that this space offers much more.

Joel’s Place welcomes guests with a mix of ready-to-eat products and grocery items all in one go.

The beautiful store is designed with vibrance, freshness, and brightness in mind. The strategically placed tables and chairs, rows and rows of fresh produce, colorful cooked meals, bright gourmet product packaging, and lush foliage all around the store come together to create a picture-perfect modern market.

Joel’s Place is divided into sections. The  Barista section is where you can enjoy their wide variety of coffee and lattes, which you can enjoy with freshly baked bread, pastries, and desserts from The Baker. Here’s a tip: try their “cronadas”—a beautiful fusion of croissants and empanadas!

Moving through the space, you’ll also find The Butcher for premium meats that you can purchase for your home, or you can have them cook your purchase right there.

And in the middle of these two sections sits The Fishmonger which offers—you guessed it—fresh fish! You can also find delicious sushi and rolls in this section.

In the other half of the store is where you’ll find The Juicer section where you can enjoy fresh fruit juices, delicious smoothies, mocktails, and even cocktails! They truly have something for any time of the day.

You can purchase liquor and spirits of your choice at The Sommelier section.

And finally, all of your grocery needs are located in The Grocer. You’ll find a very wide variety of fresh produce, gourmet products, pantry staples, and lots of imported items that you probably wouldn’t find anywhere else. So, if you’re searching for that one missing item that you need for your recipe, you might find it here.

Joel’s Place offers a more enjoyable shopping experience with its massive catalog of world-class products. But the ready-to-eat food they offer at the restaurant side of the space is also worth the trip, even if you don’t even plan on shopping. The salads are hearty, the rice meals are pretty affordable, and they have such a delightful array of choices that you’ll have to try every dish at least once!

The choices, quality, and taste of the food at Joel’s Place make it more than just a hybrid food market. It can very well be a standalone restaurant that will easily be an instant neighborhood favorite.
