Jodi Sta. Maria is over the moon after garnering the award for Best Actress in the recently concluded 2022 Asian Academy Creative Awards for her role as Dr. Jill Ilustre in “The Broken Marriage Vow,” the local adaptation of the BBC series Doctor Foster.
Jodi accepted the award during the awards night that was held last Thursday, December 8, in Singapore. Later, she shared a longer thank you message on Instagram to her team and her fans for making all this possible.

“Still on a high from last night. I am beyond grateful to everybody in the village of ‘The Broken Marriage Vow.’ Everything happened so fast I panicked I must have gotten lost in the moment coz I was overwhelmed. Thank you Asian Academy Creative Awards for the recognition,” she wrote.
“To the men and women of ABS-CBN kudos to the relentless pursuit of excellence. To BBC – for the opportunity and trust that you granted to us. To my Dreamscape family much love to you guys. To my families: TBMV Cast, Staff, Crew, and beyond — THANK YOU. I share this win with all of you. Mahal ko kayo! Mama, Kuya, Lally, Hope, and Thirdy — I thank you for all the love and support and understanding you have given me all these years. You are the wind beneath my wings. To my manager, MODER Biboy Arboleda- thank you for the guidance and protection you have given your DOTER. To the streaming partners of TBMV – Viu Philippines and IWantTFC — for bringing us to Asia and the world.”
Jodi also thanked her “inner circle” for keeping her “sane and grounded” and expressed deep gratitude to all her supporters and to God.

Jodi is the only Filipino among the list of winners this year.
