In an October 21 episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Jillian grew emotional when asked if she had ever thought about leaving her career as the allegations against her continue to resurface.
“Parang di na po present ‘yung utak ko kasi sinasabi ko [sa sarili ko] na ‘Ano pang point ng lahat ng hard work ko, ano pa pong point ng pinagpapaguran ko (It felt like my mind wasn’t present anymore. I kept asking myself, ‘What’s the point of all my hard work? What’s the point of everything I’ve been working for)?'” she said, adding that she was no longer mentally present when she showed up for a taping last Friday, October 17, after reading vile comments about her.
The former child star revealed that the rumors took a toll on her physical and mental health.
“Actually, may time pa po dati na sobrang pagod ko po, dalawa o tatlong oras ‘yung tulog ko. Every taping day, nadadala ako sa ER sa sobrang pagod. Alam po yan ng GMA. Alam yan ng managers ko. Tapos gagawan lang po nila ako ng issue na hindi naman talaga totoo (There was a time when I was so exhausted that I only got two or three hours of sleep. During every taping day, I would end up in the ER because of fatigue. GMA knows that. My managers know it too. And yet, people still make up issues about me that aren’t even true),” she said.
“So nung nagtataping po ako especially last Friday, honestly nadi-discourage po ako, na parang ano pang point na sobrang nagsisipag ako tapos sa isang post lang, maniniwala po ‘yung mga tao sa mga fake na ginagawa about me (So while I was taping, especially last Friday, honestly, I felt really discouraged. I kept thinking, what’s the point of working so hard when people choose to believe the fake stories about me after just one post?),” she added.
However, she told the veteran host that she simply prayed about it, knowing that the rumors were not true. She also shared that her family, friends, managers, and even her bosses at GMA have always been supportive and reached out to her during those difficult times.
“Na-realize ko na I’m here for the art. Gusto ko lang talagang mag-artista… Syempre, nae-enjoy ko lahat ng blessings, ‘yung lahat ng suporta, but more than that, gusto ko lang mag-taping. Gusto ko lang mag-create ng magagandang stories sa TV (I just really want to act. Of course, I’m grateful for all the blessings and support, but more than that, I just want to film and create beautiful stories for television),” she reflected.
“Kaya nasasaktan po ako kapag may ganitong klaseng issue, lalo na nadadamay ‘yung parents ko (That’s why it hurts when issues like this come out, especially when my parents get dragged into it).”
Longstanding rumors about her lavish lifestyle and alleged ties to a “sugar baby” narrative continue to resurface on social media. However, the actress maintained that all her investments and finances come from her own hard-earned money.
She also denied claims that her mother exploited her, emphasizing that her family has always been supportive of her career.
