Fans couldn’t help but be blown away by new Kapamilya star Janine Gutierrez’s ASAP debut performance last Sunday, February 7, wherein she showed off her amazing singing talent.
The 31-year-old actress gave her rendition of “No Hearts” by local songwriting duo GIBBS, which is an upbeat track that she definitely made her own. The video, which was then uploaded by ABS-CBN Entertainment, has amassed over 400K views on YouTube and 870K views on ASAP Official’s Facebook page in just a couple of days.
Fans went to the comments just to express their awe over Janine’s stage presence, which many said doesn’t come as a surprise considering that she comes from a family of “showbiz royalty,” with music icon Pilita Corrales as her paternal grandmother.
“Apo lang naman po siya ni Superstar Nora Aunor and Pilita Corales. Singing runs with her blood. Glad that ABS CBN IS GIVING HER WAY [TO SING],” wrote one fan.
“She’s better than good as a singer just like her grandmother, Ms. Pilita Corrales!!!!!” said another.
“Young and modern Pilita Corales,” wrote another.
“The second coming of Pilita Corrales!” another gushed.
Many others also admitted that they became instant fans of Janine just from her stellar performance alone and can’t wait to see what other projects she has lined up!
