Award-winning Korean stars IU and Park Bo-gum are set to headline the much-anticipated drama series that will premiere on Netflix.

On January 23, Netflix released the official poster and date announcement trailer for the much-anticipated web series When Life Gives You Tangerines.
“When Life Gives You Tangerines invites viewers on a vibrant journey through the four seasons of life… which follows the adventures of Ae-sun, ‘the remarkable rebel,’ and Gwan-sik, nicknamed ‘unyielding iron,’ through four vibrant seasons on Jeju Island.
Directed by Kim Won-suk, this drama series marks another collaboration between IU and the renowned director as they previously worked together in the 2018 drama My Mister. The series also stars Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon, and more.
This heartwarming drama series also marks both IU and Bo-gum’s comeback to the small screen! The K-pop idol’s last series was in 2019 with the romantic fantasy Hotel del Luna, while the 31-year-old actor’s most recent television series was in 2020 with Record of Youth.
IU continues to be a master of her craft, leading the K-pop world and making a mark in the acting industry with her successful filmography, which includes Dream High, The Producers, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Broker, and Dream. The 31-year-old star is also set to lead the upcoming drama Wife of a 21st Century Prince (working title) alongside Byeon Woo-seok.
Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum is best known for his acting prowess in Reply 1988, Love in the Moonlight, Encounter, and more.
When Life Gives You Tangerines will be exclusively on Netflix on March 7, 2025.
