You know how sometimes you just really need to be more careful with your phones? Well, when you’re standing over a crocodile pit would be one of those times….

A WhenInManila.com reader, Darrell Jay Maon, captured these snapshots and shares this story about someone who was taking a selfie over a some crocs in the Palawan Crocodile Farm:

I was with my family and relatives who were from Pangasinan and as usual, we brought them to the common places where tourists stop by to visit here in Palawan just within Puerto Princesa city. So Palawan wildlife rescue and conservation center or “crocodile farm” is one of the places where tourists would love to take pictures and selfies with their smartphones held up high with monopods. And just about five minutes up the crocodile cages one tourist dropped his black iphone6 into the pool of 15 to 25 hungry crocodiles.. well at first the crocs were just alarmed that something fell on their grounds and when the people started clamoring and making noise, thats when the curios croc munch on the iphone and another croc tries to take it away from the latter.

Mga 20 minutes bago pa naka.move on yung buong batch ng mga tourist na kasama namin sa tour.. for the fact na nagbayad kami ng 40 pesos each for the tour sa croc farm and we saw an iphone got destroyed by a crocodile… SUPER SULIT!! liban nalang sa may.ari ng phone. Hehe.
