International Club of UP celebrates 56th ICUP Month
The International Club of UP celebrates its 56th ICUP Month, an annual month-long celebration featuring activities that promote intercultural awareness and exchange, this January 2013. For this year, the events are guided by the theme “World’s Fair” to present the global culture to the UP community, cultural enthusiasts, and the general public.
There will be a one-day film festival featuring a mix of acclaimed local and foreign films of various genres to be screened in the College of Arts and Letters Audio Visual Room on January 11. For photograpy enthusiasts, there will be a four day photo exhibit featuring images of celebration, festivals, and rituals of cultural groups around the world on January 14-18 at the Faculty Center Galeria 1.
Meanwhile, there will be a World Whiz Trivia Quiz Contest, which aims to test the students’ knowledge on international trivia in different categories. Participants can form groups of three and represent their organizations or compete for themselves. This will be held on January 18, 5:30 pm, at Palma Hall 400.
To cap off the celebration is a culminating night entitled Kalye Kultura 2013, featuring booths and performances promoting both local and foreign folk tradition. This will be held on January 25, 6:00 pm, at the Palma Hall parking lot.

The International Club of UP is a duly recognized organization in the University of the Philippines Diliman. Founded in 1956, it is dedicated to the promotion of international awareness and goodwill and the appreciation and love of global culture.
