IƱigo Pascual is the next Filipino celebrity who was given the opportunity to star in a Hollywood project!
The actor-singer will be part of an upcoming American musical drama titled “Monarch” where he will play the role of a talented yet sensitive 18-year-old named Ace Grayson who was adopted by a woman named Nicky, who will be played by Anna Friel (“Brookside,” “Pushing Daisies”).
“THE NEWS IS OUT!!!” IƱigo gushed on his Instagram post that featured screenshots of the international news articles. “CRAZIEST BIRTHDAY. Sorry for keeping it for so long!!”
According to the official synopsis, “Monarch” is a āTexas-sized, multi-generational musical dramaā that will follow the story of Americaās first family of country music, the Romans, which is headed by Dottie (Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon) and her husband, Albie (Trace Adkins).
āMonarchā is scheduled to premiere on January 30, 2022.

IƱigo started his acting career through the 2014 teen romance film “Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig” which was directed by Antoinette Jadaone and Irene Villamor. He then starred in “Para sa Hopeless Romantic” in 2015 alongside James Reid, Nadine Lustre, and Julia Barretto, and in KathNiel movie “Crazy Beautiful You” directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.
He rose further to fame for his 2016 hit single, “Dahil Sa’yo” which became the first number one song on Billboard Philippines’ Philippine Top 20 chart and won “Song of the Year” at the 30th Awit Awards. He was tapped by Disney Philippines in 2017 to record the Philippine version of “Remember Me” from the film “Coco” and was also featured in 88rising’s online music festival called “Asia Rising Forever.”
