Kapamilya actress Angel Aquino got candid in a recent interview on The Daily Dish of Bilyonaryo, where she revealed something new about herself: “I like girls.”

When asked if there’s anything people still don’t know about her, Angel smiled and said, “Oh, I don’t know, my life’s an open book. I like girls? There. Well, a lot of people are in denial—sila talaga ‘yung in denial.”
Angel, known for her timeless charm and grounded nature, later clarified her statement to ensure it wouldn’t be misunderstood.
“Wait, can I just correct that because I said I like girls. You know that might sound, especially with social media. It might sound weird. I’m saying I fall in love also with girls and women. They might think it can sound weird kasi if you just take it as is,” she explained.
Her statement quickly made rounds online, sparking conversations about openness and acceptance in the local entertainment scene. Many praised her honesty and how naturally she spoke about something still rarely discussed on mainstream television.
In the same interview, Angel was also asked what she would do if she suddenly had a billion pesos to spend. Her answer reflected her compassion and lifelong love for learning.
“I will build my pet hotel and make sure there’s space for my beautiful pets to run around. I will help people with education because I think that education is very important,” she said.
Angel also shared that she was once a scholar under Ateneo’s Tulong-Dunong program, which inspired her to want to give back.
