Hyun Bin’s first visit to the Philippines proved to many that he is not just an incredible actor, but also a kind and humble person at his core—someone who strives to learn more and take a step back to be “in the moment.”

On August 8, the beloved Korean actor gladly answered questions from the press. Upon being asked what kind of advice he would’ve given his younger self, the actor took the time to reflect.
“‘You can still enjoy the moment.’ That’s one message I want to tell myself back in the past,” he said.
“Now that I’m looking back on what is happening, I’ve only been going straight, not minding whatever is on my side, but really focusing on the work. So I really don’t have time to look around and enjoy whatever sceneries that I can enjoy,” he added.
This time, the 42-year-old actor is ready to slow down and enjoy the company around him, instead of focusing solely on his goal.
“So if I were to tell myself in the past, [it is to] enjoy the moment and enjoy the big crowds, the surroundings, rather than just going forward or towards your goal,” he reflected.
The “Made in Korea” actor also expressed his deep gratitude for the overwhelming support of his Filipino fans.

“I’m very speechless by the amount of love and support I receive… In each and every project, the love and support that the fans give me is definitely going to be a strength for all of my career,” he remarked.
“The unconditional and unchanging love and support that I received from Filipino fans… And with that love, I would like to turn it back to you, to the Filipino fans.”
In June 2025, Solaire Resort announced that the Korean superstar would meet Filipino fans for the very first time for a raffled meet-and-greet.
Hyun Bin rose to international fame for his appearances in iconic television series such as “Secret Garden,” “Memories of Alhambra,” and “Crash Landing on You,” as well as films like “Confidential Assignment” and “Harbin.”
