Today, Huawei held its first APAC 2019 Huawei Developer Day in Singapore. Over 150 industry partners and members of the media from all over APAC attended this event to network and learn more about Huawei Mobile Services.
At the event, Huawei shared its vision of building an open ecosystem: an all-scenario, seamless fully-connected smart living experience supported by Huawei’s very own Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) open capabilities, Huawei Services, 5G networks and AI-powered apps.
As of the third quarter of 2019, HMS has achieved 390 million global monthly active users on Huawei AppGallery, with more than 180 billion total app downloads within a year since it started its service in 2018. Currently, AppGallery by Huawei is the 3rd biggest app distribution platform that covers 170 countries and regions within 390 million Monthly Active Users (MAU) since it started global service in April 2018.
Furthermore, there are also over 1.07 million global developers registered with HMS, with more than 50,000 apps already integrated into HMS Core, which helps create a version of an app that is compatible with all Huawei devices.
As announced in Munich, Germany last September during the Mate 30 Series Global Launch, Huawei invested 1 BILLION USD to support mobile app developers all around the world through the Huawei Shining-Star Program. This program will provide training, innovation support and incentives to encourage young innovators to continuously develop the HUAWEI Ecosystem.
