The actress-singer, who rose to fame as the ultimate 2000s icon, just teased that she’s working on new music ten years after the release of her last album, Breathe In. Breathe Out. in 2015.

On Instagram, Hilary shared a cozy snap with her husband, singer-songwriter and producer Matthew Koma, writing: “New music… or something.” While short and cryptic, it was enough to send longtime fans into a frenzy.
This update comes just a month after Hilary celebrated the 22nd anniversary of her breakthrough album Metamorphosis, which gave us timeless hits like “So Yesterday” and “Why Not.” Of course, who could forget “Come Clean,” also known as the Laguna Beach anthem of a generation?

Aside from her music, Hilary has been busy with acting, motherhood, and her role in the How I Met Your Father spinoff. But for those who grew up with Lizzie McGuire, A Cinderella Story, and Cheaper by the Dozen, the possibility of new music feels like a nostalgic gift.
