According to a report by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the Filipino rapper was arrested on Tuesday, April 14, under a search warrant for unlawful possession of firearms. Moreover, authorities also discovered a violation of the Republic Act No. 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
In a police report, official authorities recovered a G3 Taurus caliber 9mm pistol, a magazine, and live ammunition.
The CIDG also reported that six other people were arrested along with him, but they are not identified.
Born Gabriel Abilla, Hev Abi is a highly recognized rapper who rose to mainstream prominence after the release of successful hits like “Alam Mo Ba Girl,” “Walang Alam,” “Para Sa Streets,” and “Lil Kasalanan Shortie,” among others. He became one of the most-streamed artists on a music platform in 2024.
