2024 has been a great year for OPM music! From high-energy and groovy pop songs to R&B tunes, Filipino music has shone brightly, as seen in this year’s much-awaited Spotify Wrapped.

Seemingly coming from two different sides of the OPM spectrum, Hev Abi and BINI dominated this year’s Spotify Wrapped, earning the titles of the most-streamed male and female OPM artists in the Philippines.
BINI achieved new milestones this year, ending Moira Dela Torre’s seven-year reign as the most-streamed OPM female artist and Ben&Ben’s four-year streak as the most-streamed OPM group in the country. In 2024 alone, the nation’s girl group released multiple chart-topping hits, including “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” and “Cherry on Top.”
Filipino rapper Hev Abi, who rose to prominence with a string of successful hits like “Lil Kasalanan Shortie,” “Alam Mo Ba Girl,” “Walang Alam,” and more, topped the list of the country’s most-streamed OPM artists. In a witty response to fans and listeners, the 22-year-old rapper posted on his Instagram Stories: “Ako na hihingi ng pasensya kung asa spotify wrapped mo ako hahaahaha gulat ka pa (I’ll be the one to apologize if I end up in your Spotify Wrapped, you shouldn’t be surprised at this point).”
Meanwhile, multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift emerged as the most streamed artist on Spotify Philippines in 2024.
