Here’s how you can help give food to street vendors affected by the lockdown

The lockdowns imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic leave many workers jobless and hungry. Among the affected by this lockdown are street vendors who can’t go outside to sell.

As such, many people have started initiatives to provide food for these vendors during this difficult time.

One of these initiatives is the #ShareFromHome Donation drive. #ShareFromHome is a donation drive that aims to provide food for 700 displaced ambulant/street vendors who are affected by the Luzon ECQ. These vendors are those who sell house to house across Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas, Bulacan, Pampanga, and Pangasinan.

The donation drive will provide care packages to street vendors, each worth PHP 500. Each care package includes noodles, rice, canned goods, and coffee, enough to feed a family of 5 for a week.

The drive is targeting a total amount of PHP350,000.
