I’ve been to Sole Academy’s Think Tank launch this January 20, and I instantly fell in love with the bright colored pieces of re-imagined classic adidas apparel. I’ve seen guest musicians sport the monochromatic look wearing pieces from adidas’ SS18 collection (and honestly, they look amazing), but I’m not sure if I can pull off the monochromatic look just yet.

My wardrobe’s mostly a mix of blacks, navy blues, and whites because they can easily be styled and paired together. But honestly, I want to try adding colors to my wardrobe—I think bold colors can instantly make one’s outfit fun and playful. A pop of color can easily make you stand out from the crowd. But if you’re just like me who wants to add color in my #ootds in subtle and gradual ways, then this is for you!

Here are 5 ways to add color to your wardrobe:

5. Accessorize

Not yet ready to go all-in the color craze? Try to slowly incorporate color into your ootds by opting for vibrant accessories. You can still opt for your go-to color scheme, but enhance your ensemble by topping off your ootd with a vibrant accessory. Like with a cap, which is not only fashionable, but also useful during sunny days (which is mostly everyday here in the Philippines).

4. Throw on a jacket

You’ll be surprised how a colored jacket can transform your look! I’m especially crushing on Claudia Barretto’s ootd during Think Tank’s launch. She was wearing a black romper topped with a bright yellow jacket. The statement piece easily made her look chic.

3. Go for track pants

Track pants are all the buzz lately because of the effortlessly sporty vibe it gives. Pair your colored track pants with black or white tops and you’ll instantly look made up. Plus, not only are track pants stylish, it’s 100% comfortable, too!

2. Colored shirts

If you want to add a pop of color to your ootd, you can never go wrong with colored shirts! Colored shirts will easily give you the much needed pop of color to your ensemble especially if you keep your other pieces toned down.

1. Wear colored shoes

Do you know that one of the first things people notice when seeing someone is their shoes? Well, get a good impression by wearing a good pair just like adidas’ Campus Sneakers. This model which was first launched in the 1970s aims to give you both comfort and style, which makes it perfect for everyday use.
