There has been over a handful of actors over the years who have portrayed the notorious private detective Sherlock Holmes, and it seems like Henry Cavill is going to be stepping into his shoes soon.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Henry Cavill will be playing Sherlock Holmes opposite Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobby Brown in the Enola Holmes movie. Enola Holmes, played by Brown, is the younger sister of both Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes. She’s also an equally talented investigator.
The film will center around a mystery involving a teenager who goes missing after their father is murdered. Helena Bonham Carter will also star and will play the matriarch of the Holmes family.
There’s no news yet as to when production will start on Enola Holmes, but it’s speculated to happen within the next couple of months.
