The highly anticipated second season of the Crave Original series Heated Rivalry, from Creator Jacob Tierney, adds five to the cast: Emily Hampshire from Schitt’s Creek and Marvel’s VisionQuest as Vanessa; Edvin Ryding from Young Royals and 28 Years Later as Luca Haas; Robert Naylor from Mile End Kicks and Cardinal as Wyatt Hayes; Sabrina Jalees from I Used to Be Funny and Black Mirror as Farah Jalali; and Priyanka from Drag Brunch Saved My Life and Meet Me Next Christmas as Tarek.

Season two is set to premiere on HBO Max on April 2027 in the United States, Australia, Europe (excluding the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Turkey), Latin America, and Asia (Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka).

Season one told the story of rival hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie). Bound by ambition, rivalry, and a magnetic pull neither of them fully understood, what began as a secret fling between two fresh-faced rookies evolved into a years-long journey of love, denial, and self-discovery.

The series is commissioned by Bell Media’s Crave with the participation of the Canada Media Fund (CMF). Jacob Tierney serves as writer, director, and executive producer. Brendan Brady and Jayme Alter Wilson serve as executive producers, with Lori Fischburg and Liane Cunje as producers, and Rachel Reid as consulting producer. Mike Goldbach serves as co-writer for season two.
