Another oppa is getting married this October.

The news came just five days after Jang announced that he had finally graduated from Hanyang University, having spent 15 years in college.
“Today, I have some news to share with you directly, so I’m writing this. I’m getting married to someone I’ve been with for a long time in October,” Jang wrote on Instagram. “There were many thoughts and considerations before deciding to get married. We spent a lot of time together, getting to know each other’s various sides, and that’s how we came to understand and cherish each other more.”

The couple’s paths first crossed on the set of the historical comedy-drama The Tale of Nokdu, the 34-year-old actor’s breakthrough series, in which he played Jeon Nok-du, a man who cross-dressed to infiltrate a mysterious, all-female widow village to uncover the truth about his past.

Kim made her acting debut in the same drama alongside Jang, marking the beginning of their professional and personal journey as they navigated the busy world of Joseon-period television.
Four years later, Kim and Jang met again in 2023, during the actor’s directorial debut for the short film, Please Be My Ear.

Following the short film, Jang and Kim once again collaborated as director and actress on the movie The Yeast, which was released in April 2026.
Many fans were surprised by the sudden announcement as the two kept their relationship hidden from the public.
