Gram Café is now offering a whole lot more to its customers than just its premium Japanese pancake experience.
Starting this month of June, this beloved dessert shop originating from Shinsaibashi, Osaka has added five all-day brunch items that will cure your hunger pangs.
If you’re just stopping over for a quick snack, try out the Gram California Maki Roll (PHP 365) or the Summer Apple Salad with Kani Tempura (PHP 325) which is a refreshing salad made with mixed greens, raisins, and apple slices mixed with Gram’s lemon-mayo dressing and topped with a heaping pile of crispy kani tempura that gives a wonderful balance of different textures and flavors.
Those after a hearty meal can go for either the two pasta dishes, Ebi Aglio Olio con Tomate Pasta (PHP 395) and Ebi Mentaiko Alfredo Pasta (PHP 495), both of which offer a delicious fusion of Japanese and European ingredients. The Ebi Aglio Olio is cooked on roasted tomato garlic sauce and served with giant shrimps and caviar while the Ebi Mentaiko Alfredo is tossed in creamy mentaiko shrimp sauce and topped with fish roe and nori. Note that these are only available at Gram’s Serendra, BGC branch.
But really, no one should miss out on the Salmon Truffle Aburi Don (PHP 595)—the star of the five brunch dishes. This hearty bowl consists of Japanese cucumber salad, purple cabbage and bokchoy stir fry, and torched salmon slices with aburi mayo that completely melt in your mouth, all of which are laid on top of a bed of flavorsome seaweed shoyu rice. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll want to keep coming back for it.
For dessert, of course, it’s an absolute must for you to indulge in Gram’s signature stack of fluffy soufflé pancakes (PHP 385). It’s the kind of treat that’s best enjoyed at the café itself where it’s at its peak softness and jiggly-ness. As for your drinks, cool down amid this sweltering summer heat with Gram’s iced cold coffee.
