The blueberry pancakes are heaven sent
My experience eating IHOP’s griddle melts was a heavy one. Imagine having to eat all three sandwiches. One is clearly enough, as it comes with a side of hash browns or fries (the fries are A plus!). But the dedicated IHOP team (hello Jhay Torres, Patricia Malong, and Chef Paolo!) didn’t allow us to leave without trying their famous pancakes.
The different syrups: old-fashioned, blueberry, butter pecan, and strawberry
Now, my experience with pancakes have been limited to homemade ones and those made by a certain restaurant who specializes in it, but the IHOP pancakes wiped them out. The soft, fluffy, and heavenly pancakes quickly set the bar for me and became the standard for the breakfast staple. I swear it literally melted in my mouth. And when you add the butter pecan syrup, no words can describe how deliriously good it is.
Me clearly enjoying the IHOP experience
It’s a fact: IHOP pancakes are the best way to start the day.
But of course, IHOP pancakes being the best is an established fact. The griddle melts will soon be a household name, and to help, IHOP is inviting everyone to an online campaign on Twitter and Instagram. For Instagram, the chain is having a weekly contest where the best photo of a person eating a griddle melt at IHOP with the hashtag #GetYourGriddleOn will win gift certificates. For Twitter, followers will be asked questions and the wittiest answers (with the hashtag #GetGriddled) will also win IHOP GCs.
So when in Manila and you want to get griddled, there’s no place else to go but IHOP!
