GCash is taking Philippine fintech to new heights as they announce new features for the app. With millions of active users per day, GCash is giving more products and services to address the financial needs of Filipinos.
GCash just announced a new feature to add security to accounts. The new Double Safe feature will have a facial recognition feature óto make sure each account is protected and accessed by the owner itself. This feature is to address account take-over or account hacking.
During the event, they also announced GChat that will help users communicate with other GCash users. Gone are the days of taking screenshots of transfers and sending proof outside of the app. This new feature will integrate the user’s phonebook to automate notifications and let one user message another GCash user in-app.
Stock trading is now also possible with GCash with its new GStocks PH feature. A trading wallet will be available in the app to be used in trading stocks of over 280 companies in the Philippines. In partnership with AB Capitals and Philippine Stock Exchange, users will be able to trade and transfer funds from GCash wallet to Trading wallet or vice versa. The new feature has a simple interface for easy management and usage.
GInsure also steps up its game with new features like GInsure Online shopping protect that offers shopping insurance of up to Php20,000. With a partnership with Chubb, shopping is safe and easy. In just 3 steps and 3 days, a shopper will get an answer about their claims.
In the Crypto space, Gcash’s GCrypto partnered with PDAX and bitskwela to make sure that the web3 experience of users will be easy. GCrypto will also feature their first NFT collection by Reen Barrera that will be dropping soon on the app.
