GAMING: Microsoft’s announcement will change cross-platform gaming!

Microsoft just announce something HUGE on cross-platform gaming: Gamers will soon be able to play with their Xbox friends without switching over to an Xbox console!

PS4XboxPS4/Xbox cross-platform? Yes, please!

According to reports, Microsoft announced on its Xbox blog that it’s opening up the Xbox Live online platform, meaning “players on Xbox One and Windows 10 using Xbox Live will be able to play with players on different online multiplayer networks – including other console and PC networks.”

This means that gamers can play online mode with virtually anyone, without the platform barrier which exists right now.

So with games like “destiny” — which was released in both the Playstation and the Xbox platforms – players will be able to play with each other, whether they’re playing it on the PS4 or Xbox One.

However, the announcement says, game developers still have the final say if they’ll support this feature in their games, and gamers will still have the option to play with just Xbox-users.

The announcement also confirmed that Psyonix’s Rocket League will be one of the first games to take advantage of this new system, enabling cross-network play between Xbox One and PC players.

What do you think? are you ready to play against your PS4/Xbox/PC gaming friends?
