Cebuanos now have a brand-new literary haven to explore: the first Fully Booked x Kinokuniya branch in the Queen City of the South is officially open at SM City Cebu.

The bookstore collaboration opened its doors last August 22, 2025, much to the excitement of Cebuano readers, manga fans, and pop culture enthusiasts.
Shoppers were greeted with the best of both worlds—Fully Booked’s curation of trade books alongside Kinokuniya’s selection of Japanese titles, including manga, literature, art books, and language learning materials.

The space isn’t just for book lovers. Visitors can also discover a lineup of Japanese stationery, toys, collectibles, and anime-themed items, making it a must-visit destination for anyone with a love for Japanese pop culture.

This marks the first-ever Fully Booked x Kinokuniya store outside Metro Manila, following successful collaborations at MITSUKOSHI BGC in 2022, SM Mall of Asia in 2023, SM North Edsa in 2024, and Glorietta 4 in June 2025.
“Cebu is a dynamic city, and the literary community is vibrant. It made for an ideal location for the first Fully Booked x Kinokuniya store outside Metro Manila,” shared Jaime Daez, Managing Director of Fully Booked.
The opening also marks a milestone for Fully Booked, bringing the chain to its 46th store nationwide, with additional branches expected to launch later this year.
